Misc
- Food is in the white vaults by the trash can. R is for Ripley obviously, and J for Jackie Boy. Their scoops are in the vaults, and they have wet foot in the right cabinet of the TV stand. There’s rubber seals for the wet food cans on the counter and on some existing cans in the fridge from yesterday.
Food
Sweet Jack the Cat: one scoop of dry food from the vault per day, and one half can of wet food per day.
Ripley: Ripley gets fed twice a day too, but her’s food situation at the moment is what the kids these days call “extra”. Ripley doesn’t like dry kibble because she’s used to eating it mixed with wet food, which I did to try to curb her hunger strikes from her pre-spay days. She has more appetite now, so I’m weaning her off the wet food. There’s 3 cans of wet left — for the first can, mix 1/3 of it with one heaping scoop of kibble per meal. Once that can runs out, mix 1/4th or so from the second one until that runs out. For the last can, mix like 1/6th or so, and then just kibble after that. Sometimes, she just “would prefer not to”, as old Bartleby would say, and that’s OK — if she does that, just put some plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for her next meal (unless you’re out of the wet food by then, just put the kibble back in the vault).
Poops
JC’s litter box (left hand side of the tv stand) gets scooped twice a day into those green (biodegradable, allegedly) bags that are in the right-side cabinet. If wouldn’t mind, take the trash out once or twice, otherwise the litter marinates in there and it’s just the worst.
Ripley goes out 3-4 times a day. Most of them are to that square area outside my bedroom window, which you get to by turning right from my front door and following around the corner. There’s a poop bag thing there. You’ll know when Ripley has to poop when she does 180s on you, that’s a dead giveaway. If she’s sniffing and dragging you in a straight line forever, don’t be fooled by her half baked attempts at olfactory freedom!
Exercise/Routine
JC has a lil wand thing he LOVES in the hallway closet, stashed in the upper left hand side. Fling it around the bed or couch and behold the sweet flips Jackie performs. Also, he loves cuddling. If you sleep or take a nap, you can pull him to you to be the little spoon, he’ll act like he’s too cool for it at first but he warms up to it 4/5 times I’d say.
If you can make around 5:15 or so in the evenings, that’s a good time to take Rips to the dog park and meet up with other doggos. She’s great with all the doggos and humans and all the animals on the planet. If you can make one 30-45 dog park per day, great! If not, no worries, just try to give Rips a 20-30 minute walk for one of those times you take her out so that she does get diabetos.
